Abraham Innovations is a leading supplier of custom vision inspection/ automation assembly in the Greater Toronto Area and we are looking to add a Project Manager / Coordinator and Automation/Mechanical Technician to our team.

Our Projects Division is looking for suitable candidates with a strong interest and aptitude in Machine Vision Inspection / Automation systems in Manufacturing. The job position you are applying for will depend on your relevant work experience and educational background.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager / Coordinator:

  • Establish and maintain project schedules through the coordination of a multi-discipline team, including design, fabrication services, assembly services, and the customer. Drive all aspects of the project to meet the established project schedule.
  • Monitor and control all budget and spending activities of the project and drive the project to the budget.
  • Actively engage with machine vision inspection designer, controls programmer and customer to develop a low risk and robust machine design that meets all scope, budget and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate and conduct all customer meetings, including project kickoff meetings, design review meetings, checkout and acceptance meetings.
  • Create and maintain the project record including reports on all customer meetings, action items and other project communications. Act as a direct contact to the customer for all aspects of the project and keep the customer informed at all times.
  • Serve as a cost savings resource by generating and presenting cost savings ideas on all projects, including, alternatives for design, fabrication, outside services, assembly and commercial components.
  • Prepare job close out reports that detail the final project schedule and financial results

Requirements & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college and greater than 5 years of job experience related directly to project management.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to conceptualize and create designs.
  • Project management experience and skills, with strong organizational skills and detail oriented
  • A demonstrated ability to write at a professional and technical level.
  • Strong customer relationship skills

Responsibilities of the Automation / Mechanical Technician:

  • Building and maintenance of custom assembled equipment, automated work cells and vision systems.
  • Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills are needed.
  • Develop technical knowledge of our computer vision inspection systems for quality control,
  • Work with Project Manager/Coordinator to provide vision/automation solutions, quotations, preliminary and critical design reviews
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary design and technical services to meet customer needs

Requirements & Education:

  • College Degree in Electromechanical Technology -- Automation & Robotics
  • Strong technical aptitude and hands-on skills
